Mangifera indica

4.8 · 132 reviews · 24 in stock

Our grafted Chaunsa mango is raised from a proven mother tree, so the fruit quality is identical to the parent. Grafted plants fruit years earlier than seed-grown trees and stay compact enough for a rooftop or courtyard when grown in a 24-inch container.

Watering

Deep watering twice a week in summer, once every 10 days in winter. Never let the root ball sit in standing water.

Light

Minimum 6 hours of direct sun. South or west facing rooftops give the best fruit set.

Soil & potting

Free-draining loam with 30% compost and a handful of bone meal. Repot every second year in February.

Feeding & pruning

Feed NPK 10-10-10 monthly from March to August. Prune right after harvest to keep the canopy open.
